Architects have a blast at sand-building contest:
Architecture firms and students competed at an annual sand sculpture contest in Key Biscayne on Saturday.
At the Archipro Sand Blast '06 competition, held Saturday at Key Biscayne's Crandon Park, architects and soon-to-be architects built musical instruments, a life-size alligator, a sunbathing teenager -- anything but the traditional sand castle.

Team Forbes Wins Golden Bucket
Saturday, November 6, 1999 - In celebration of the American Institute of Architects 'Architecture Week 1999', Team Forbes won the prestigious 1st Place Golden Bucket Trophy. The competition took place at Miami's world famous South Beach between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Our design was a recreation of the Great Pyramids of Egypt and featured he Sphinx. Orientation and detail were emphasized as we tried to reproduce the complex to scale. |

Monday, August 2, 1999, the Sun-Sentinel 'Your Business' section featured and article on Union Planters Bank leasing in Miami-Dade County. The article detailed information about the new facility, which will be located in the Gran Park portion of the Beacon Station complex and included a render from Forbes Architects.
